HOW WE STARTED

Moonlight Liquor Lounge opened in 2023 at 509 E Broad Street in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina — The idea was simple: create the kind of bar that Fuquay-Varina deserved. Not a nightclub, not a dive bar, but an intimate lounge where the drinks were serious, the atmosphere was welcoming, and guests felt invited to linger.

Since opening, Moonlight has built what is widely recognized as the largest spirits collection outside of Raleigh — over 280 individual bottles spanning bourbon, whiskey, tequila, mezcal, gin, rum, scotch, vodka, and a full liqueurs and specialty spirits program. The cocktail menu rotates seasonally, drawing on that collection to create drinks that are both approachable and genuinely craft.

Moonlight draws guests from across the Triangle — from Fuquay-Varina, Holly Springs, Apex, Angier, and Garner — and has become a destination for anyone in southwest Wake County looking for a cocktail experience that rivals what you'd find in downtown Raleigh, without the drive.
